Frequently Asked Questions:
Column Radiators

If you can't see the answer to your question, feel free to contact us and we'll be happy to help you with sales or product enquiries.

If I order today when will I receive my column radiator?

Standard models, including the Classic, Chunky and Old Style ranges, will arrive at your door in as little as one to two working days. Customized colour and size models will take slightly longer to receive, with four weeks as the estimated delivery. Still, with such an exquisite and long-lasting product, a four week wait is an insignificant amount of time to ensure you get the perfect radiator.

Can I have some advice on choosing a colour for my column radiator?

Trying to perfectly match the radiator to your walls can be hard, so opting for a few shades lighter or darker can give you a better outcome. And if you often change your décor, opt for one of the more neutral colours, like black or lacquered metal – these will always look great with any décor.

I don't know what size column radiator I need, can you help me?

Choosing the right heat output for your room is essential. A stylish new radiator won't be of any use if it can't adequately warm your space. We have a handy heat calculator to help you decide which radiator is best for you. Tip: it’s always a safe bet to go slightly bigger than the calculator recommends.

Will my column radiator come with all the fittings included for installation?

Our radiators come with brackets necessary for securely mounting on your wall. If the wall is plasterboard, it is advisable to get heavy duty fixings which will be available from any hardware store.

Can I have feet on my column radiator?

Our custom column radiators can have feet in matching colours welded at the time of production, which can be fastened to the floor. This is most suitable for four to six column radiators since the centre of gravity is away from the wall.

What can I do if I can't move my existing pipework or have a limited space?

Thanks to the extensive selection of sizes available, it will make the replacement process simpler with little-to-no changes to your pipes. For a larger heat output the radiator can be made taller or can have an increased column depth.

Which type of valve will I need for my column radiator?

It is always beneficial to have greater control over the temperature of a column radiator, with its high heat output. To achieve this, it is recommended to fit a thermostatic radiator valve (TRV).

Do I need a corner or angled valve for my column radiator?

There are two orientations that are compatible with column radiators; corner TRVs if the pipework is to be installed into the wall, or angled TRVs if the pipes come from another location.

Which colour valve should I get for my column radiator?

Our advice would be to match the colour of the valve to other fixtures in the room - such as chrome plug sockets, brushed door handles or stainless-steel taps - in order to achieve a seamless look.
