Why Choose an Aluminium Radiator?

Aluminium is an excellent conductor of heat. An aluminium radiator warms up and cools down quickly, holds less water than a steel radiator of similar size, and is much lighter, which makes it easier to hang on plasterboard and stud walls. Because it responds fast, it suits rooms you heat on and off, and it is well suited to low-temperature systems such as heat pumps.

Our Aluminium Radiator Ranges

  • Portsmouth – high output aluminium radiators in horizontal and vertical formats.
  • Coventry – aluminium radiators in horizontal and vertical sizes for everyday rooms.
  • Leeds – flat panel aluminium radiators in white and anthracite.
  • Bradford – high output aluminium radiators in anthracite, including tall vertical models.
  • Orb – vertical designer radiators in soft colours such as cream and sand.

Aluminium vs Steel Radiators

Steel radiators heat up more slowly but hold their heat for longer after the boiler switches off. Aluminium gives you faster warm-up and lighter weight, which can mean lower running costs in rooms that are heated for short periods. Read more in our guide to aluminium radiators as a sustainable heating solution.

Choosing the Right Size

Use our radiator BTU calculator to find the heat output your room needs, then filter this page by BTU. If you are fitting radiators to a heat pump, size them for the lower flow temperature of your system. Your installer can confirm the figures.

Colours and Styles

Our aluminium radiators come in white, anthracite and designer colours. For a minimal look, see all our flat panel radiators; for narrow walls, browse vertical radiators.
